Blue Sky Acquisitions is a family owned real estate acquisitions firm that is focused on the acquisition and management of multi-family and mixed use properties in all the five boros of New York City.

Our direct approach in reaching out to owners provides full transparency to the purchase process, saving owners expensive broker fees and maximizes profits to sellers.

We understand that everyone’s situation is different. Our focus is to gain a deep understanding of the sellers needs and structure that specific deal based on that specific situation.

Blue Sky Management is a fully integrated management and construction company that is focused on delivering first-class customer service to tenants in our buildings. As a privately-owned and operated management company, our hands-on management style, constant communication with our tenants and attention to detail are qualities we feel distinguish our tenants experience from all others. All administrative, maintenance, and repair issues are handled through a sophisticated property management and accounting system. This ensures a timely response to requests and a more comprehensive review of all components of any issue.

Steven Kachanian serves as Principal of Blue Sky Acquisitions. In this capacity, his primary responsibility is seeking out investment opportunities for the company and its partners. Steven earned his undergraduate degrees in Business Management from both Universita’ Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan and Baruch College in New York. He also earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.

Ryan Powers-Tapp is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and preliminary investment selection for Blue Sky and their partners. Prior to Blue Sky, he was with Citco Fund Services in their hedge fund pricing and valuation group. Before Citco, he was an Associate at JP Morgan in Principal Investment Management and an analyst at Bear Stearns in MBS and CDO derivative pricing control. Ryan is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and International Business and a minor in International Studies. He also earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.
